Zia and Adam were married in Adam’s home state of Maine, at a rustic event space on a warm September afternoon. I’ve known Zia and Adam since college, and photographing their wedding made me feel simultaneously wistful with the acknowledgment that we were entering a new phase of our lives, and overjoyed at seeing two close friends share their love. I think my favorite moment to photograph on this special day was the first look: Zia’s decent down a long field of wildflowers, Adam’s anxious and awed look as he waited for her, and their ultimate union on a mountaintop overlooking blue skies and an endless valley.
